Jamuni Lal College, Hajipur, which has recently been accredited by the NAAC with ‘C’ grade , is one of the premier constituent units of B.R.A. Bihar University , Muzaffarpur. It is the older institution of the higher education in the district of Vaishali which is known for its glory. Vaishali has the distinction of being the birth place of Lord Mahavir and “Karm Kshetra” of Lord Buddha. Bihar University, Muzaffarpur and was established in the year 1969 with the objective of providing Quality education and services in the feild of Career Oreinted Courses and has carved out a respectable place for itself in the eyes of academicians, students, gardians and administrators of the state as well as of the Vaishali district, in particular. Quality teaching moral values, emphasis on regular extracurricular activities such as athletics, games and also on cultural activities etc are its special attraction.
With a sanctioned strength of 36 teachers and 12 non-teachers in addition to the one for Principal the college is running smoothly. There are also a few office supporting staff appointed on a casual basis.
Adequate number of well-furnished class rooms, well equipped laboratories, provision for smart classes, generator facility, safe drinking water, clean wash-rooms, etc. are the other items of attraction for those opting for study in the college. The college Library has a stock of ten thousand books. Also, the common rooms for boys and girls each keep the students busy and thriving during their leisure periods.
A consistent effort is always being made to strengthen the academic environment of the institution by organizing Seminar/ Symposium/Conferences, etc. A Wi-Fi has been provided by the state government in the campus under 7-points Nishchaya programme of the Bihar Government and , is working smoothly, and all the stakeholders are immensely benefited. The college has been provided an NCC units of 150 students. A number of students have obtained A, B and C certificates, and most oof them are employed in our national armies. Also NSS unit is functioning in our college. It regularly organizes social oriented extensions, programmes in the campus as well as outside the campus. It has also taken initiatives for adopting backward and slum areas.
The college has a biometrics system of attendance both for teachers and non-teachers. The biometric system for student, attendance in the class are planned to be set up as soon as possible. The college is under surveilliance of CCTV cameras 27X7 hours. The college campus is highly protected. Two watchmen (one for the day and other for the night) keep constant vigil on the property of the college as well as on every activities inside and the outside.I wish the college maintains its invigorating history, a competitive academic environment, and strives further for reaching at the pinnacle of glory and growth.
